AVW In-Depth

AVW

Co-Sponsored by the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts® (NACVA®) and the Consultants' Training Institute® (CTI®) | Each month various topics are covered during the Around the Valuation World® webcast. Because time does not allow an extensive discussion, each month one topic is selected to be explored in greater detail in Around the Valuation World® In-Depth. This In-Depth topic is a one or two-hour virtual training course with available CPE.

There is a separate cost for AVW In-Depth. It is not included as part of an AVW CPE subscription. Below are details on dates and topics to be discussed.

June 23, 2025 | If You Want to Practice Business Valuation, You Have to Peel the Onion

Program Description
This session will touch on the practice of business valuation from A to Z in a semi-case study manner. It will challenge attendees to think and question approach, methodology, and beliefs. The session may be interactive, but will assuredly provide new details, resources, and applications to the process of business valuation. Session examples include a hidden party to the engagement, the nexus between the industry analysis and the economic analysis, proper asset approach, dissection and critical examination of the income approach, development of a credible direct market approach, and derivation of relevant and credible valuation discounts.

How You Will Benefit
After completing this session, attendees will be able to:

  • Use the valuation engagement with a new perspective, more tools and resources, and more confidence
  • Identify how to set practice apart from the crowd and competition while sustaining their current valuation practice
  • Identify where and how to get the needed answers

Who Should Attend
New and seasoned valuation analysts, business brokers, and solo practitioners.
